The Checklist Manifesto

By: Atul Gawande

The Checklist Manifesto

Atul Gawande, a surgeon, has written a simple, yet powerful book on the oldest and oftentimes overlooked organizational tool – the checklist.

With extensive assessment of various fields, including healthcare, aerospace, and construction to name a few, Gawande describes a process of making the complex, simple.

His surgical checklists have been adopted by the World Health Organization, now the standard in more than twenty countries. His work is said to be “the biggest clinical invention in thirty years” (The Independent).

The Checklist Manifesto is a very interesting piece of learning for anyone who is trying to become more effective in their work and life.
