Make Today Count

By: John C. Maxwell

Make Today Count

Maxwell is undoubtedly a leading author in the leadership and self-help genre. His books have sold over 50 million copies. This entry can be misleading by its slight appearance. Only 130 pages; printed like a small handbook, nonetheless, it packs a serious punch.

The premise? If you expect to live a successful life, you need to make decisions each day that are based on an agenda that is intentional. In other words, the quality of your life is largely determined by the quality of the decisions you make.

  • Good Decisions – Daily Discipline = A Plan without a Payoff
  • Daily Discipline – Good Decisions = Regimentation without Reward
  • Good Decisions + Daily Discipline = A Masterpiece of Potential

Summarizing a few, there are chapters that cover Attitude, Commitment, Values and Generosity.

This is a wonderful weekend read. If you’re one who enjoys recharging your batteries during the holidays, you’ll find this book rewarding.
