Web Developer/Designer

The Web Developer/Designer will be responsible for designing, producing, and maintaining websites, online marketing collateral, and web applications.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Perform front-end and back-end development design and maintenance for web pages and web applications as needed.
  2. Possess digital media design expertise and experience in creating outstanding deliverables that incorporate best-in-class marketing and usability principles.
  3. Create professional digital media that meet high standards for creativity, quality, accuracy, and adhere to brand style guidelines
  4. Produce quick conceptual sketches for review and translate feedback and direction into results-oriented, polished designs, in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  5. Design and build audience-centric, rich media and interactive experiences for web and mobile platforms including static and animated online banner ads, mobile ads and site themes that drive engagement
  6. Design creative assets for websites, emails, and social media sites (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn) as needed to achieve cohesive campaigns and brand experiences
  7. Merge image, messaging and call to action into engaging online assets that drive lead generation
  8. Design forms, marketing collateral, and client communications as needed
  9. Apply sound project planning and management disciplines to organize work, flexibly shift priorities, ensure high productivity and maintain a high degree of quality control
  10. Possess a strong service orientation and personal skills that enable effective, positive interactions with team members, subject matter experts and highly-technical associates
  11. Stay current regarding new web development technologies.
  12. Deliver on all web development activities related to each client; responsible for carrying out and completing specific projects and duties to support our clients with minimum delay, efficiency and accuracy.
  13. Meets regularly with the Director of Marketing and reports progress on initiatives regarding web development and client satisfaction.

Required Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills

  1. Strong knowledge of applicable Adobe Creative Suite design applications
  2. Familiarity with WordPress and/or other content management systems
  3. Highly skilled in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  4. Knowledgeable in PHP and MySQL (other programming languages and database systems a major plus)
  5. Familiarity with basic Windows and Linux web hosting administration
  6. Possess strong problem solving skills and developed leadership skills.
  7. Ability to take as well as give direction when needed that will advance the efforts of the organization.
  8. Portfolio with online and mobile examples that demonstrate excellent design sense with strong typography and publication design skills
  9. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office skills required and related computer knowledge
  10. Highly developed communication skills

Assists and supports the Account Executive in supplying various business development services to our clients. This position includes organizing, planning and communicating our clients’ value propositions to target buyers; learning about and reporting on buying systems and influences.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Works closely with the Account Executives in formulating and implementing the business growth projects for our clients.
  2. Plans, organizes and implements market research projects on behalf of our clients.
  3. Produces high-quality touch points through phone conversations and written documents with various clients’ targets.

  5. Contributes to and/or reviews client reports that record status of recent activities and determines status of ongoing project work.

Business Development Representative

Assists and supports the Account Executive in supplying various business development services to our clients. This position includes organizing, planning and communicating our clients' value propositions to target buyers; learning about and reporting on buying systems and influences.

The Business Development Representative (BDR) also assists with general office, Human Resources and Marketing activities as determined and directed by the Director of Operations. Finally, the BDR will be responsible for assisting the Operations Director with general office duties including, but not limited to, filing, preparing mailers for COACT client campaigns, CRM system database management and clean-up, verification phone calls to prospective businesses on behalf of our clients and organization of client collateral and materials.

Software Engineer

The Software Engineer is a member of the marketing department and will be responsible for creating, maintaining and enhancing websites, content management systems, and creating as well as enhancing internal and external CRM/server structures and reporting tools for our clients and internal COACT initiatives.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Programming and database administration are elements of this position with graphic design capabilities a plus.
  2. Works closely with the Director of Marketing and graphic designer(s) to develop specifications and make recommendations on the use of new and emerging technologies
  3. Consults regularly with Director of Marketing regarding web development elements of client’s business growth projects.
  4. Understand and use branding guidelines to create internal/external company web pages including graphics, animation and functionality as needed.
  5. Ability to conceptualize with the graphic designer to design Flash projects including banners and animated presentations, etc.
  6. Perform front-end development and maintenance programming for web pages and web applications as needed.
  7. Enhance and revise existing website experiences, internal enterprise software to ensure consistency of both the COACT brand as well as our clients.
  8. When required, provide technical or design expertise helping evaluate new technologies to improve processes and productivity.
  9. Help with design and creation of web page layouts, user interface graphics, icons, color schemes, content, and supporting infrastructure.
  10. Ensure all designs have appealing and consistent user interface that fulfills all brand and other requirements.
  11. Support web usability testing (UAT) and create materials for testing as required.
  12. Collaborate with other designers in brainstorming and conceptual design, as well as provide support for design deliverables as needed.
  13. Jointly develop, monitor and oversee the implementation of offline and online web development elements, in conjunction with the Director of Marketing.
  14. Maintaining current company-wide Intranet and future extranet capabilities with the ability to customize business enterprise software platforms.
  15. Candidate must be a team player and willing to teach as well as learn.

Required Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills

  1. Superior knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques; a strong online portfolio displaying user-centric design; and experience with web database solutions a plus.
  2. Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of web technologies such as HTML, DHTML, JavaScript and CSS.
  3. Cross-platform knowledge and experience in design and coding for online communications (email rendering, IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc.).
  4. Design skills using Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash.
  5. Knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to web-based applications. Mobile knowledge is a plus.
  6. Capable of repairing, maintaining and configuring new hardware, installing and updating software packages, and creating and maintaining computer networks is not required but preferred.
  7. Solid understanding of user experience principles and how to effectively incorporate them into page designs.
  8. History of successfully implementing business requirements with design elements.
  9. Highly developed planning, organizing, and time management skills with attention to detail, quality, and timeliness.
  10. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work well in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Ability to take art direction and constructive criticism and manage personal time outlays for each project.
  12. Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Education and Experience Requirements:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in web design, information technology, computer science or related field, and/or a minimum of 4 years related experience.
